A Philosophical Inquiry into Clambake 2002, part 4

Question Five: is everything better with Glasses?

Mom picked up these wonderful prismatic glasses (hereafter known as Glasses) for enjoying the fireworks. We frightened several people away from our fireworks-viewing spot with our shouts of "oh yes!" and "aaahhhh!" Perhaps the most fun, though, was walking back to the car after the fireworks, wearing Glasses, and admiring the headlights. Stephanie thought the best part was watching the expressions on the drivers' faces as Shannon and I walked past, though.

If Glasses are wrong, I don't want to be right.

It turns out that campfires (especially sparks), porch lights, airplanes, and even people in bright colors on sunny days are all better with Glasses. Even the budget is better with Glasses!

Ode to Glasses

If Glasses are wrong
I don't want to be right
I love them, I love them,
With all of my might
Try to take them from me
You'll sure get a fight
They're the one thing in life
Guaranteed to delight!

(It's true, the Glasses alter your sight
But They open your mind,
If your mind feels tight
"Normal" vision becomes a blight
It's Glasses for me, by day and by night!)
